Go through our tips for more joy of your Ficus.

Habitat

A Ficus appreciates more shade, but prevent direct sunlight in hot summer months. Shift Ficus as little as possible, it may of course turn good to keep the plant full of leaves all around. Prevent draught and cold, to avoid the quick leaf fall.

Water

The lighter the habitat of Ficus, the more water it needs. Make sure the root ball never dehydrates. A minimal tepid water in winter and a shower of rainwater in summer can work wonders. After all, this is in the nature too.

Nutrition

To keep indoor Ficus strong and sound it is advisable to add nutrition to the water once in two weeks. Again, regularity is important!

Re-pot

Re-potting after a year works wonders. Use good pot soil and put a large potsherd at the pot base for sufficient drainage. A large Ficus should only be re-potted after 2 or 3 years.
